Chapter 6
Kre
I had so much stress on me that I didn’t know what to do. I was dealing with street shit, like Wes wanting to kill me, constant nagging from Kaihlia about every little thing, and I was involved heavily with Telendra. Besides that, I felt like it was still up to me to provide for my Mom and Kenya. I wanted to do something that Keon hadn’t been able to do and get them out of the projects. That was hard to do though; since my Momma was refusing to take any money that she wasn’t sure was %100 clean, unless she absolutely needed it. The way she saw it, she had lived in the projects for so long, that there was no reason to move out into a house that had been paid for with drug money. It was enough to make a nigga have a nervous breakdown, but I had to remain strong.
With everything going on, I felt like death was around the corner and I couldn’t leave this life without making sure that I had done all that I possibly could do for my family and also for Kaihlia. If I died, I at least wanted to leave behind my seed. I could live on through him. Keon didn’t leave any babies behind and I know he always regretted that. I do remember once back in the day he talked about having some girl who might be pregnant, but who knows what happened with that.
As far as the situation with Wes, I had hittaz all across Philly looking for him. I had enough money to put a hefty price on his head, but I wanted him brought to me alive. He was responsible for Keon’s death, whether or not he pulled the trigger himself, and he was responsible for me getting shot the first time. My youngbul at the shop had survived, but he was more than likely going to be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life since the bullet had lodged in his spine.
The craziest part was that autopsy reports had come back for Monique. There was a whole criminal investigation because traces of antifreeze were found in her system. Authorities were saying she had been poisoned. Antifreeze was an easy way to do that, since it can be blended with other liquids without being detected until it was too late. I figured Wes was also responsible for that because I had remembered seeing the note and the bottle of Moscato that he had left her. Apparently he poured the antifreeze in with the wine and tricked the hell out of Monique. That nigga was all the way out of control. Obviously, he would kill anybody over a few bucks; man, woman, or child!
I knew that Wes was trying to kill me. He was ruthless as hell and if he couldn’t get to me, he might even try to harm my family. I was so stressed out, that I wasn’t acting like myself.
